The first new engine is a 3.3-liter V6 with 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The second new engine will arrive in the spring of 2018 and will be the first ever diesel engine powering the F-150.

Powerful Engine Options

In addition to the two new powertrain options the Ford F-150 has three other engines to choose from. The F-150 has two EcoBoost engines, a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 325 horsepower and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 375 horsepower. The last engine the F-150 has to offer is a 395 horsepower 5.0-liter V8. Every engine is equipped with Auto Start/Stop Engine Technology. The Electronic 10-speed Transmission with Tow/Haul, Snow/Wet, EcoSelect and Sport Modes is now available with all three powertrain options.
